Mûrier Cottage
6 guests | 3 bedrooms | 3 beds | 2 bathrooms
Set in the beautiful Charente Maritime countryside, Le Manoir du Mûrier is a former 16th-century hunting lodge once owned by the Marquis des Adjots. Kick back, relax and unwind in this peaceful oasis, nestled in 15 acres with its own lake, in the heart of the wine region. Mûrier Cottage is tastefully decorated and furnished, has 3 bedrooms to accommodate 6 guests comfortably, and has its own private entrance through the walled courtyard. Within the grounds, there is a large saltwater swimming pool, with its terrace and sun loungers.

The Space
Mûrier Cottage is attached to the main house but is completely separated and private. On the ground floor is the lounge area with two large sofas, a log burner and a TV. The dining area and kitchen are fully equipped for six guests, with a dishwasher and microwave. The large windows let plenty of light in, and the floors are all tiled. Upstairs are three double bedrooms, one with a balcony and two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a shower over the bath. All rooms have plenty of storage and are beautifully presented. We can provide a highchair and travel cot if requested. We do not provide towels for use by the pool.

Guest access
There is plenty of parking for you on the driveway. Access to the cottage is a short walk through the sunny walled courtyard where you have your own private entrance. You can walk around the gardens and go through the gate to the pool or take a stroll across the track and walk up to the lake.
There is a smaller one-bed gite called Petit Mûrier. When this is let, you will share all the outside space as well as the pool area. Both Petit Mûrier and Mûrier Cottage can be rented together to allow 4 bedrooms with 8 guests in total for exclusive use.
